What is National Save for Retirement Week?
In follow up to the successful passage of the Resolution in 2006 and 2007, Senator Smith (R-OR), and Senator Conrad (D-ND), have introduced Senate Resolution 601 designating the week of October 19, 2008 through October 25, 2008 as National Save for Retirement Week.

A companion resolution, House Resolution 1294, sponsored by Representatives Schwarz (D-PA) and Johnson (R-TX) and supporting the goals of National Save for Retirement week, has been recently passed by the House of Representatives.
